The Borarium is Trieste’s brand-new museum space dedicated to experiencing the Bora through engaging interactive stations for visitors of all ages. Explanations, facts, curiosities, games – and memories! Because no one knows the Bora better than those who live with it.
It is the natural evolution of the Bora Museum project, launched in 1999 and constantly growing. This new space joins the historic “Magazzino dei Venti” in Via Belpoggio 9, the original home of the wind museum, which over the years has sparked curiosity among both visitors and the media.
The Bora Museum has always been a community project: now more than ever it is ready to collect new artifacts, stories, and ideas connected to the wind that embodies the very soul of Trieste.
“The wind is the air at play” – the Borarium blends lighthearted themes with serious ones, giving special attention to sustainability and climate change.
